Effendi, in collaboration with Productions Yves Léveillé, Productions Félix Stussi, Marginal Studio and Théâtre Outremont, presents the National Emerging Competition Jazz@Vue. The event is aimed at musicians at the start of their careers, particularly university and college students from the province, who are invited to take part in a major professional experience in a stimulating and educational setting.
No less than 18 applications were the subject of an initial selection by a jury of professionals. Six ensembles are now invited to present a mini-concert as part of the semi-finals which will be held on September 17 and 24 at Dièse Onze.

Three groups will then be selected for the final, which will take place on November 1, at 1:00 p.m., at the Outremont Theater, where they will each perform a 40-minute program. The final performances will be captured by Marginal Studio, Productions Nord-Sud and Piccolo Mobile. Several prizes totaling an approximate value of $5,000 will be awarded to the winners by partners associated with the competition, including Studios Piccolo, Théâtre Outremont and Pianos Bolduc. Finalists will benefit from professional support offered by Effendi, including advice and support for career development.
The concert series Jazz@VueIn addition to the Emerging Competition, several concerts by recognized Quebec artists and international artists will be presented as part of the event. Jazz@Vue. From October 29 to November 1, the Outremont Theater will welcome Félix Stüssi and the duo Neve & Nøbel (October 29), Émie R. Roussel Trio and Yves Léveillé with Daniel Mille (October 30), Gentiane MG and the duo LéNo with Léonardo Montana and Arnauld Dolmen (October 31) as well as the Jazzlab Orchestra and its guests (November 1).
