Du 20 au 29 mars 2026. Le Festival du bonheur revient pour la 7e édition !

For the 7th edition of the Montreal Happiness Festival, we invite you to “Bounce back together”.

From March 20 to 29, 2026, as part of Anti-Racism Action Week, a range of free activities are available! Workshops, shows, exhibitions and screenings will create rich opportunities for encounters between cultures, arts and generations.

The official opening will be held again this year at the Rialto theater, a historic site of Montreal culture. On March 20, International Day of Happiness, we will let ourselves be transported by the rhythms of a DJ, the joy of a clown, and the movements of flamenco, Egyptian baladi dance, Jamaican dancehall…

On March 21, an intercultural roundtable workshop on solidarity will spark exchanges and sharing at the Afrika center, a community organization which works, among other things, on the integration of new arrivals of African origin in Montreal. Also express your creativity during a “bricobonheur” workshop.

On March 28, come discover short films by artists from Wapikoni, which contributes to the personal, creative and professional development of members of the First Peoples, and from the Australian RE-Generation International Youth Film festival. The screening at the MEM – Center des Mémoires Montréalaises will be followed by an exchange with the filmmakers. Their works will be viewable continuously throughout the weekend.

Finally, on March 29, the presentation of an exhibition of zines created by seniors from 8 boroughs of Montreal as part of the Le Bonheur Haut en Couleurs project will close the festival at the MEM. You will be able to chat with the directors!
