Like every year in the month of Ramadan, the Algerian Cultural Center (CCA) organizes Iftars (breaking the fast – dinner), for foreign students and people living alone, in a warm and family atmosphere. Iftars are organized on Saturdays in the month of Ramadan.
The Algerian Cultural Center of Montreal (CCA) has been accustomed, for more than twenty years, to organizing Iftars on Saturdays of the holy month of Ramadan.
In 2025, and thanks to your donations, the CCA was able to raise $15,099.17, and distributed more than 650 meals during the 4 iftars of the holy month.
Iftars are held in person, to offer a warm, family atmosphere, in our premises at 2348 rue Jean-Talon Est in Montreal.
Consequently, the CCA is launching an appeal for solidarity and generosity to the community in order to make monetary donations to make a Sadaqa or to take out your Kafara.
This collection will be used to pay for a caterer to prepare Iftar meals. The meals are intended for foreign students and people living alone who can come and share a meal every Saturday in the month of Ramadan:
Saturday February 21 and 28
Saturday March 7 and 14
The number and continuity of distribution will of course depend on the funds that have been collected.
