The countdown is on! Only one day left before the 19th edition of the Poutine Festival. This edition will mark a turning point in the history of the Festival. In addition to presenting the event for the first time on the Cégep de Drummondville site and welcoming the legendary group The Offspring, the organizing committee is unveiling a brilliant program from August 6 to 8!
A program for all tastes! On Thursday, the evening will take off on the Loto-Québec Stage with one of the rising figures of Quebec rap with more than 25 million streams: Aswell. A true revelation of the French-speaking musical landscape here and internationally, the rapper Fredz will then be on the big stage! The evening will end with a flagship artist of Quebec rap, Loud, who will offer his new show Douze sur deux. On the Hydro-Québec Stage, singer-songwriter Alice Bro will offer her saucy folk. Festival-goers will also discover the Saguenay rock band Orloge Simard.
A true phenomenon that spreads its festive and irreverent music! Friday, Vulgaires Machins will storm the Loto-Québec Stage with a punk rock sound that has resonated for over 30 years. The new songs from the album Contempler l’abîme and the group’s successes will be in the spotlight. The long-awaited band The Offspring will arrive next! This Californian group, founded in 1984, is a true rock legend with more than 40 million albums sold worldwide. On the Hydro-Québec Stage, the public will welcome the Montreal female trio Les Shirley. This is straightforward rock, pop melodies and a punk attitude! Festival-goers will also be very happy to see the queen of the last ADISQ Gala with 12 Félix awards including those for song of the year and female artist of the year. Lou-Adriane Cassidy will be all the rage with her show Triste animal. The winner of the Cabaret Festif competition section! will also perform on Friday.
On Saturday, the unique style, at the crossroads of folk, rap and rock, of GreenWoodz will rock the Hydro-Québec Stage! It will then be the return to the Festival of Cœur de pirate and the new pieces from his opus Cavale. JF Pauzé, member of the Cowboys Fringants, will take the stage at the end of the event. Building on his sold-out tour throughout the province, he will sing pieces from his excellent album Les amours desecond hand, as well as numerous hits from Cowboys Fringants. On the Hydro-Québec Stage, the artist AnymaOra’ will introduce her captivating electro-pop universe where music and dance intertwine. The talented singer-songwriter Ariane Roy will invite the crowd to dance and let off steam! The one we saw in particular in the popular show Le Roy, La Rose et Le Lou(p) seduces every time! Every evening, the winners of the Francouvertes will also have the chance to showcase their art on the Hydro-Québec stage.
