To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the festival, Ivorian icon Meiway comes specially to Montreal to sing the festival anthem Unis par les Nuits, accompanied by several of the artists performing the song. All together, they will create a magical and unifying moment, during the Diblo Dibala concert, on Sunday July 19 from 8:15 p.m.

Composed by Meiway, and supported by an exceptional cast: Tiken Jah Fakoly, Sékouba Bambino, Diblo Dibala, Djely Tapa and Yves “Fan Fan” Joseph (Tabou Combo) lend their voices to the verses, while the chorus brings together nine artists from the Montreal scene: Tonton Idriss, Kizaba, Wesli, Lydol, Thaynara Peri, Kabey Konaté, Mateo, Melodji, Hendry Massamba and Floric Kim in the same spirit of fraternity. The song brings together iconic voices from Africa and its diaspora in a vibrant and timeless artistic dialogue.

Through rich and mixed sounds, United by the Nights crosses musical and geographical borders, combining traditions and modernity, roots and future. From ancestral breath to contemporary textures, each performer infuses their color, contributing to a sound fresco that is both intimate and universal.

UNITED BY NIGHTS IN LIVE CONCERT SUNDAY JULY 19 – TD STAGE – 8:15 p.m. AT THE PARTERRE DU QUARTIER DES SPECTACLES The lyrics, both poetic and unifying, sung in French, Lingala and Malinké, celebrate Montreal as a point of convergence of cultures and pay homage to four decades of music, sharing and emotions. Carried by a unifying chorus, “Unis par les nuits / United by the nights”, the song stands out as a true anthem to unity, diversity and the power of the collective. More than a song, United by the Nights is a declaration: that of a festival which, for 40 years, has made hearts vibrate to the rhythm of the world and brings together, evening after evening, thousands of voices under the same sky.
