In April 2025, Montreal strongly asserted its place on the international scene by welcoming Première Vision, a global reference in textile innovation and fashion forecasting, which is part of the GL Events group. This first Montreal edition brought together more than 104 exhibitors from Quebec, Canada and internationally, and attracted more than 2,300 visitors, confirming the appeal of the metropolis as a creative and industrial crossroads.
With the return of Première Vision to Montreal on April 21 and 22, 2026, the city has a lasting place alongside Paris and New York, among the capitals shaping the future of fashion. This global event consolidates Montreal’s positioning as a North American strategic hub, at the crossroads of creation, innovation and responsible production.
Première Vision Montréal offers a space for dialogue and anticipation, where textile manufacturers, material suppliers, designers, brands and industry leaders meet to explore emerging trends, technological innovations and new sustainable practices, particularly in terms of circularity and eco-responsibility.
Once again supported by mmode, Tourisme Montréal and the Quebec Ministry of Tourism, this second Canadian – and Montreal – edition stands out as a major milestone in the promotion of Quebec know-how. A true engine of transformation, Première Vision supports the fashion, textile and clothing industries towards a resolutely innovative, sustainable and interconnected future, while generating structuring benefits for Quebec’s economy and business tourism.
Montreal, at the heart of a more integrated and resilient fashion industry After a successful first edition, the return of Première Vision to Montreal is part of a dynamic of economic development and industrial policy aimed at strengthening the supply chains of the fashion and clothing industry in Quebec. By bringing together all the players in the value chain – from raw materials to creation – the event contributes to structuring a more integrated, efficient and resilient sector.
A true lever of competitiveness, Première Vision promotes the bringing together of suppliers, manufacturers, creators and brands, supports industrial innovation and supports the strategic relocation of certain production. The show thus contributes to securing supply chains, strengthening the international competitiveness of Quebec companies and consolidating a textile and clothing industry sustainably anchored in the territory.
The return of Première Vision to Montreal marks a structuring step for the fashion and clothing ecosystem, underlines Mathieu St-Arnaud Lavoie, general director of the MMode Cluster: “In a context of reconfiguration of global supply chains, the anchoring of Première Vision in Montreal constitutes a strategic lever to strengthen the international competitiveness of Quebec companies, promote local expertise and consolidate a stronger, integrated and future-oriented fashion and clothing sector. »
“I am delighted that Montreal is hosting the Salon Première Vision for a second consecutive year. Since the creation of the mmode cluster in 2015, our metropolis has become a hub for the fashion industry, where creativity meets innovation, from design to retailers. Our ecosystem has the expertise and boldness necessary to think big and pursue its ambitions. Montreal is among the international metropolises that are shaping the future of fashion and we can be very proud of that,” declared Soraya Martinez Ferrada, Mayor of Montreal.
A rich program of players involved in Quebec and Canadian fashion La Grappe mmode and GL events / Première Vision highlight the wealth and expertise of players in the Quebec and Canadian ecosystem through inspiring conferences and workshops, designed to promote exchanges, stimulate innovation and create new growth opportunities. “The strength of the Quebec ecosystem lies in the quality of its talents and its ability to collaborate to innovate. Montreal offers Première Vision a unique opportunity to promote this excellence and build ambitious projects that move the entire industry forward,” explains Thierry Langlais, Vice-President of Operations at Première Vision.

During this same period, another major event will recognize the excellence of Canadian fashion: the Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards will be held on April 23, 2026. This convergence of leading events testifies to the growing attractiveness of Montreal, recognized as much for the know-how of its creators as for the solidity and expertise of its manufacturing ecosystem. It confirms the central role of the metropolis as a hub of innovation, creation and influence for local fashion, which is in full swing.
Première Vision Montréal’s conferences and workshops will explore key themes for the fashion and clothing ecosystem: fashion and the arts, the international influence of Quebec companies, sustainable innovation, relocation, digital transformation and international collaborations. These sessions offer participants concrete tools to anticipate trends, strengthen their competitiveness and seize new growth opportunities, while highlighting the expertise and wealth of Quebec and Canadian players.
