Miriam Garlo is a Spanish deaf actress and artist. Revealed in the cinema in the short film Sorda (2021) by her sister Eva Libertad, she gave a performance recognized by numerous acting awards and nominations for the Premios Fugaz and the Premios Pávez. Active in artistic projects linked to the deaf community, she has established herself as one of the strong voices of a new generation of Spanish artists committed to representation and inclusion. Álvaro Cervantes began his career at a very young age with El juego del ahorcado, for which he was nominated for the Goya Awards for Best Male Newcomer. Since then, he has played a series of roles in the cinema, exploring varied registers between historical drama, comedy and arthouse films. He collaborated in particular with Salvador Calvo in 1898: Los últimos de Filipinas and Adú — for which he received a new Goya nomination — as well as with Julio Medem for El árbol de la sangre. In 2022, he starred for Netflix in the romantic comedy Eres tú by Alauda Ruiz de Azúa. He also participates in international co-productions such as Maret by Laura Schroeder and Ramón y Ramón by Salvador del Solar. Eva Libertad is a Spanish screenwriter and director, also a sociologist, graduated from the Complutense University of Madrid. Co-founder of the production company Nexus CreaFilms alongside Nuria Muñoz Ortín, she develops an engaged work. She is revealed with the short film Sorda, the first work in sign language nominated for a Goya prize.
