Vital Distribution and Vital Productions are proud to present Tissé tight (Tight Lettuce), a first feature film directed by Harrison Houde, from a screenplay co-written with Dakota Daulby (Longlegs, Shōgun), who plays one of the main roles alongside Emmanuel Bilodeau.
The film, which also stars Christie Burke, France Castel, Maxim Roy, Guy Jodoin, Didier Lucien, Jennifer Khoe, Josh Cruddas and Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll, will have its world premiere at the 30th edition of the Fantasia International Film Festival, in the Les Fantastiques weekends du cinéma québécois section. The screening will be held on Saturday July 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Cinéma du Musée, in the presence of the film crew.
Distributed by Vital Distribution, Woven Tight will then be released in Quebec on August 7.
Synopsis Inspired by a true story, Tightly Woven is a dark comedy about Joel’s unwavering love for his father, Bodo, who struggles with heroin and fentanyl addiction. Despite Bodo’s denial and the chaos his addiction brings, Joel documents his father’s struggle, hoping to inspire change. With their bond deepening, Joel can choose to confront his father or cherish their remaining time together.
About the Filmmaker Canadian Screen Award winner Harrison Houde began his acting career on Vancouver Island before turning to directing, screenwriting and music. His short films I Dare You, which was launched at Cannes, and Cafe Racer, which had good success at festivals, led him to the production of his first feature film, Woven Tight. Known for his eccentric style that transcends genres, he works in Canada, Los Angeles and Tokyo as a true multidisciplinary artist.
