Year after year, the Forum has established itself as an unmissable event for the Quebec and international creative ecosystem. It is a space where the practices that will shape electronic music, digital arts and the emerging technologies of tomorrow are thought about, debated and constructed. This year, the Forum is moving into a new environment in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles: the Atrium and the Studio-Th\u00e9\u00e2tre des Grands Ballets, as well as the Wilder Building \u2013 Espace danse.<\/p>\n<p>SYMBIOTIC FREQUENCIES Under the theme Symbiotic Frequencies, MUTEK Forum 2026 questions the relationships between artificial intelligence, living systems, artistic practices and technological infrastructures. Rather than treating art, technology and the environment as separate subjects, programming asks what happens at the intersections between these fields: how is AI changing our relationship to nature? How are immersive technologies transforming the way bodies experience space?<\/p>\n<p>THREE DAYS, THREE PERSPECTIVES<\/p><div id=\"linit-3562464310\" class=\"linit-dans-le-contenu linit-entity-placement\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-8992136571741975\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:inline-block;width:728px;height:90px;\" \ndata-ad-client=\"ca-pub-8992136571741975\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"6185130430\"><\/ins> \n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>Day 1 \u2014 Stories, Expanding Realities (presented by the Canada Media Fund): a day dedicated to immersive stories and Indigenous media practices, including an opening speech by Loretta Sarah Todd, as well as a conference by Navid Navab, this year&rsquo;s recipient of the Golden Nica at the Prix Ars Electronica (Digital Musics category), a conversation with Caroline Monnet (presented by the MAC), or a screening followed by a discussion by director Lou Fauroux around his film WhatRemains, Genesis.What Remains, Genesis, screening-discussion with Lou Fauroux<\/p>\n<p>Day 2 \u2014 Technologies, interfaces of the future: an exploration of artificial intelligence, biosignals and new human-machine collaborations, led in particular by Claire L. Evans, the conference-performance by Katie Hofstadter and Memo Akten, as well as a panel on biosignals in the digital arts presented by the SAT. Claire L. Evans, Brainless: how the world thinks (Brainless: How the World Thinks)<\/p>\n<p>Day 3 \u2014 Sound, ecologies of listening: dedicated to contemporary sound cultures and embodied listening, with a discussion bringing together physicists, composers and sound practitioners, the presence of Mindy Seu for the Canadian premiere of A Sexual History of the Internet but also a panel on the ecosystem of electronic music, or even spatialized sound and many othersMindy Seu, A Sexual History of the Internet (A Sexual History of the Internet)<\/p>\n<p>BRIDGES WITH THE FESTIVALSeveral artists from the Festival&rsquo;s lineup will also participate in the Forum to discuss the process behind their art, including Evicshen, No\u00e9mi B\u00fcchi, Mika Oki, Jump Source, Matthew Herbert, Kara-Lis Coverdale, NVST, Nazar and Elsewhere in India.<\/p>\n<p>A CONSIDERATELY IMPROVED MUTEK MARKET At the same time, the MUTEK Market, the international professional platform for B2B inter-professional meetings, returns in an expanded format, now fully integrated into the Forum&rsquo;s programming.
