A new series at the Cin\u00e9ma du Mus\u00e9e from September 8"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Museum Cinema is proud to announce the launch of FILM 101, a new series dedicated to cinematic learning.<\/p>\n<p>Designed for budding film buffs, lifelong students and fans of classic films, FILM 101 presents 5 films that explore the language of the seventh art and the rich vocabulary of deliberate choices that shape the way we experience stories, emotions and ideas.<\/p>\n<p>During this series, participants will discover fundamental elements of cinematic language and acquire the tools necessary to better observe, analyze and discuss the art of cinema. Each session is devoted to a specific element, illustrating how the filmmakers use it to create meaning. The sessions will be accompanied by a short introduction to put the subject in context, as well as an informal discussion to deepen the analysis and meet other film buffs.<\/p><div id=\"linit-2715090502\" class=\"linit-dans-le-contenu linit-entity-placement\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-8992136571741975\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:inline-block;width:728px;height:90px;\" \ndata-ad-client=\"ca-pub-8992136571741975\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"6185130430\"><\/ins> \n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>At the end of this series, participants will be able to: \u2022 Recognize the key elements of cinematic language. \u2022 Describe how filmmakers use formal techniques to create meaning. \u2022 Develop a vocabulary to approach cinema beyond plot and acting. \u2022 Analyze the visual and sound construction of films. The series begins on Tuesday, September 8 with the presentation of CITIZEN KANE by Orson Welles, long considered the best film of all time.
