Goodbye Karelle unveiled her album Knuckle Breaker Maxxx last January. Released earlier this year, the first three singles ADI, OXYBALLAD and NICE RUN BIRD set the table and created a buzz. Knuckle Breaker Maxxx offers 11 tracks of raw emotion based on a recording with 70s energy.<\/p>\n

Goodbye Karelle’s singing and speaking voice lends itself equally well to songs closer to RnB, hip-hop, trip-hop as well as to flirtatious alternative pop titles. Going to the end of a masculinity still under construction, sometimes imposed, often questioned. To get to the end of latent frustration, of disappointments accumulated over the course of a journey marked by constant comparison and the search for a place.\u201d explains the artist.<\/p>\n

Goodbye Karelle develops an intimate and deeply poetic musical universe. His music puts the voice and the text at the forefront: a phrasing often spoken-sung, serious and embodied, which gives the impression of a confession or a private diary set to music. The arrangements, both minimalist and modern, combine hushed guitars and aerial electronic textures, creating melancholic but sensitive atmospheres, where emotional vulnerability is central. The whole thing gives off an impression of raw, introspective and narrative sincerity, like an inner conversation transformed into a song.<\/p>
