The film will first have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in the prestigious Centrepiece section on September 10, before being screened the next day at the Quebec City Cinema Festival (FCVQ). FALSE GUN BANDIT is produced by the team behind the hit Humanist Vampire Seeks Consenting Suicide.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a great pleasure to present FAUX GUN BANDIT as its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. It is an essential event for cinema and an exceptional opportunity to launch the film. I am also very happy that it will be presented the next day at the Quebec City Film Festival. As I am from Quebec, the film was shot there and its story takes place there, this screening has a very special resonance for me. I can\u2019t wait to share FAUX GUN BANDIT with audiences here,\u201d says the screenwriter and director.<\/p>\n<p>FAUX GUN BANDIT stars a cast made up of new faces: F\u00e9lix Munger, David Beaudoin, Brandon Truong, Chau-Phi Van Quirion, Jenny-Mark Turmel-Pichette, Mathieu Bourret, Jos\u00e9e Tremblay and Marc-Antoine Munger. He directed his first feature film in 2019, Before we explode, scripted by \u00c9ric K Boulianne. FAUX GUN BANDIT is the first feature film for which he wrote the screenplay and directed.<\/p>\n<p>FAUX GUN BANDIT is produced by Jeanne-Marie Poulain. Ana\u00eblle B\u00e9glet acts as executive producer, Ir\u00e8ne Besonne, R\u00e9mi Dufresne, Sophie Michon and Hippolyte de Chanlaire as associate producers. Xavier Boss\u00e9 is in charge of photography, Cl\u00e9lia Brissaud is in charge of artistic direction, Gabrielle Lauzier is in charge of costume design, Jean-S\u00e9bastien Beaudoin Gagnon, Samuel Gagnon-Thibodeau and St\u00e9phane Bergeron are in charge of sound. The original music is by Peter Venne.<\/p>\n<p>Distributed by h264, FAUX GUN BANDIT is produced with the financial assistance of SODEC, Telefilm Canada, provincial and federal tax credits, CALQ, Studios Grand\u00e9, Post-Moderne, Difuze and the City of Quebec.
