The film stars Pierre-Yves Cardinal, Bilel Chegrani, Karine Gonthier-Hyndman, Nah\u00e9ma Ricci, Beno\u00eet Gouin, Maxime Genois and the late Marc Messier. THE OTHER will be on display this fall.<\/p>\n<p>Nailed to his hospital bed with a 50% chance of surviving cancer, a man discovers that his roommate \u2013 a young man with a gunshot wound \u2013 has no intention of letting him die in peace. A duel tinged with black humor then begins between the two men. THE OTHER is a grotesque and tender duel about mortality, identity, and what gives us the will to live. The film is inspired by a hospital stay that almost cost the director his life.<\/p>\n<p>Scripted by Alexandre Franchi and Simon Lavoie, L\u2019AUTRE is produced by M\u00e9na\u00efc Raoul and Alexandre Franchi. Steve Asselin is in charge of photography, Paskale Jobin is in charge of visual design, Hubert Hayaud is in charge of editing, while Gabrielle Tougas-Fr\u00e9chette is in charge of costumes, Djina Caron is in charge of makeup and Mathieu Beaus\u00e9jour is in charge of hairstyling.
