Spread over 16 days, 10 days of programming will take over 10 neighborhoods in Montreal and bring together more than 300 professional artists from all disciplines. Fixed shows, strolling performances, parades and free workshops will once again transform the streets of the metropolis into real open-air stages.<\/p>\n<p>To mark this decade of existence, the FAR is today revealing a first preview of its 2026 program with a selection of artists who will take part in this anniversary edition. Among the first names announced are France D&rsquo;Amour, Calamine, Burning BRASs Band, Barbada as well as a creation bringing together Super Plage, Virginie B and Nectar Palace. The street arts programming will also feature international artists, notably with The Twin\u2019s Trip (Argentina) and Green Cow (South Korea).<\/p><div id=\"linit-3311397946\" class=\"linit-dans-le-contenu linit-entity-placement\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-8992136571741975\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:inline-block;width:728px;height:90px;\" \ndata-ad-client=\"ca-pub-8992136571741975\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"6185130430\"><\/ins> \n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>This year is particularly symbolic for us. In ten years, the FAR has gone from a neighborhood event to a festival that brings together hundreds of artists, takes over the alleys of the entire city and is now developing international collaborations. This anniversary edition highlights both the journey accomplished and the ambitions of the FAR for the years to come. \u2014 L\u00e9a Philippe, General and Artistic Director<\/p>\n<p>The full program will be presented on Wednesday, August 5 at 5 p.m., at Quartiers Belle Gueule, during an event hosted by L\u00e9a Philippe, Suzie Veilleux and Kenny Streule. Over the past year, the festival team carried out three international prospecting missions \u2014 two in South Korea and one in Belgium \u2014 in order to develop new artistic collaborations and promote the FAR well beyond Quebec&rsquo;s borders.<\/p>\n<p>A major parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Olympic GamesAmong the new features of this 10th edition, the FAR will present, in co-production with the Quartier des Spectacles Partnership, a major parade on September 5, to mark the 50th anniversary of the Montreal Olympic Games.
