A cynical film exploring themes of power, intimidation, lies and corruption, this cinema classic remains extremely relevant today. It will be presented this Sunday, August 16 at Square Saint-Patrick, in collaboration with Cult MTL.<\/p>\n<p>In this work by Burt Lancaster, Tony Curtis and Susan Harrison, an influential Broadway columnist forces an unscrupulous press agent to end his sister&rsquo;s romantic relationship with a jazz musician.<\/p>\n<p>The festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a musical performance by Karen Myatt. They will be followed by a presentation by Justine Smith, programmer of the Underground section of the Fantasia International Film Festival and film critic for various media (Cult MTL, CBC, Roger Ebert, Hyperallergic, Little White Lies).
