The Prix collegiale du cin\u00e9ma qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois (PCCQ) is pleased to offer, for the first time, a series of podcasts filmed with the filmmakers of the short films finalists from its 15th edition, in the company of a guest from their creative team. Produced in collaboration with Plein(s) \u00c9cran(s), these discussions are led by Ariane Roy-Poirier, general and artistic director of the organization, as well as a member of the organizing committee for the short film component of the PCCQ. Each meeting brings together two artists around a short film in the running. Caroline Monnet will discuss with lighting designer Lucie Bazzo about Pidikwe. The writer-director duo Jean-S\u00e9bastien Hamel and Alexandra Myotte will tackle What We Leave Behind. Axel Robin will be in conversation with F\u00e9lix Bouffard-Dumas, who edited My Memory Walls. Juan Frank Hernandez will talk with screenwriter Vincent Labelle about Platanero, while Le Punk de Natashquan will bring together filmmaker Nicolas Lachapelle and producer \u00c9lodie Pollet. The five episodes will be available from March 10 on the CISM website, on the Plein(s) \u00c9cran(s) YouTube channel and on the PCCQ digital platforms. To allow moviegoers to see or rewatch the finalist short films on the big screen, special screenings with guests will take place in Montreal and Quebec. The public is invited on Wednesday, March 11 at 8 p.m. to the Cin\u00e9math\u00e8que qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise and Thursday, March 26 at 7 p.m. at the Beaumont Cinema. These two events are part of a cycle of screenings featuring the works of the PCCQ 2026.<\/p>\n

A PILOT PROJECT IN SECONDARY SCHOOLS A big new feature this year: the PCCQ short film program is also presented to groups of students from five secondary schools. The participating establishments are the Roberval Academy (Montreal), the Robert-Gravel secondary school (Montreal), the La Source secondary school (Rouyn), St-Patrick\u2019s High School (Quebec) and the Polyvalente Beno\u00eet-Vachon (Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce). This initiative offers students the unique opportunity to discover the PCCQ experience from a younger age! Remember that the national deliberations will be held on Friday, March 27 at the DoubleTree Montreal Hotel. The announcement of the winning works will be made on Saturday March 28 at noon at the Cheval Blanc, during the Caf\u00e9 Cin\u00e9ma which brings together the students, the winners of the previous edition and Micheline Lanct\u00f4t, godmother of the PCCQ.<\/p>\n
