The director and the performers will stop in Chicoutimi, Quebec, Trois-Rivi\u00e8res, Sherbrooke and Gatineau before the film opens in Quebec cinemas on September 25. In Montreal, the big premiere, organized in collaboration with the CINEMANIA film festival, will take place on September 21 at the Monument National.<\/p>\n<p>An intimate portrait of the exceptional life of one of the most important artists and figures in Quebec history, co-written by Ana\u00efs Barbeau-Lavalette and V\u00e9ronique C\u00f4t\u00e9, PAULINE JULIEN: FEMME COUNTRY is brought to the screen by Suzanne Cl\u00e9ment who plays Pauline Julien.\u202fPatrice Dubois plays G\u00e9rald Godin, writer and politician who shared his life for more than 30 years with the singer. The couple, passionate and united by an independence fervor, have largely contributed to the cultural heritage of Quebec.\u202fAlexa-Jeanne Dub\u00e9, Steve Gagnon, Violette Chauveau, Mishka Madeleine Cloutier and Alfred Ruelland, among others, complete the cast of this cinematic tribute.<\/p>\n<p>Pauline Julien, icon of Quebec song, fights for her words at the same time as her country fights for its own. Femme Pays goes through a life made of light, work, love and heartbreak. Pauline dances, Pauline loves, Pauline shouts, Pauline smokes, Pauline fucks, Pauline burns. Pauline lives. Pauline dies.
