In addition to the 12 albums in the series and special editions, there are novel adaptations from \u00c9ditions Hachette Jeunesse, as well as an animated series which was broadcast in 52 11-minute episodes.<\/p><div id=\"linit-1772022870\" class=\"linit-dans-le-contenu linit-entity-placement\" role=\"region\" aria-label=\"Publicit\u00e9s\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-8992136571741975\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><insclass=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:inline-block;width:728px;height:90px;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-8992136571741975\" data-ad-slot=\"6185130430\"><\/ins>\n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-90991 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/linitiative.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Nob-Dad-6-a-10.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"208\" srcset=\"https:\/\/linitiative.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Nob-Dad-6-a-10.jpg 800w, https:\/\/linitiative.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Nob-Dad-6-a-10-768x200.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>A rhythmic and endearing daily life<\/h2>\n<p>Created and imagined by Nob in 2014, Dad is a comic strip which recounts the adventures of a father who lovingly raises his four daughters born from four different unions.<\/p>\n<p>Despite his difficulties in making ends meet, Dad takes care of his little tribe: Panda, the studious eldest, Ondine, the second with a strong character, Roxane, the very energetic third and B\u00e9r\u00e9nice, the youngest.<\/p>\n<p>Nob illustrates the daily life of this happy little family through short stories on one or two boards, where he depicts humorous and inspiring situations. It is with kindness that Dad raises his four daughters who have grown up over the course of 12 albums.<\/p>\n<p>This \u201cfather of all trades\u201d<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\" id=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a> \u00bb makes every effort to protect the \u201c <a href=\"https:\/\/linitiative.ca\/dad-tome-8-cocon-familial-papa-poule-et-pere-a-tout-faire\/\">family cocoon<\/a><a href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\" id=\"_ftnref2\">[2]<\/a> \u00ab\u00a0. He represents \u201cquiet strength<a href=\"#_ftn3\" name=\"_ftnref3\" id=\"_ftnref3\">[3]<\/a> \u00bb that nothing disturbs. He is the \u201cstar at home<a href=\"#_ftn4\" name=\"_ftnref4\" id=\"_ftnref4\">[4]<\/a> \u00bb as we see in a new special issue entitled: Family cooking<a href=\"#_ftn5\" name=\"_ftnref5\" id=\"_ftnref5\">[5]<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-90990\" src=\"https:\/\/linitiative.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Nob-Dad-1-a-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"210\" srcset=\"https:\/\/linitiative.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Nob-Dad-1-a-5.jpg 800w, https:\/\/linitiative.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Nob-Dad-1-a-5-768x202.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Focus on the special edition \u201cFamily cooking\u201d<\/h2>\n<p>So, La compil\u2019 de Dad, is a special issue which brings together jokes from the whole family in the kitchen, to the extent that \u201c\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/linitiative.ca\/dad-tome-9-papa-pop\/\">pop dad<\/a><a href=\"#_ftn6\" name=\"_ftnref6\" id=\"_ftnref6\">[6]<\/a> \u00bb tries each time to vary the menus for his \u201cdaddy\u2019s girls<a href=\"#_ftn7\" name=\"_ftnref7\" id=\"_ftnref7\">[7]<\/a> \u00ab\u00a0.<\/p>\n<p>It must be said that pasta is more popular with girls than grandmother&rsquo;s recipes. As soon as Dad wants to prepare dishes with vegetables, the girls start to complain: Ondine doesn&rsquo;t like carrots\u00a0\u00bb (p. 10), Roxane doesn&rsquo;t like leek soup (p. 20), while for Panda the smell of cauliflower puree resembles the smell of old socks\u00a0\u00bb (p. 22). In short, pizzas and hamburgers are at the top of the list of girls&rsquo; favorite foods.<\/p>\n<h2>A mirror of our society<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-90992 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/linitiative.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/DAD.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"799\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/linitiative.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/DAD.jpg 799w, https:\/\/linitiative.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/DAD-768x481.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 799px) 100vw, 799px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Behind the bursts of laughter, the character of Dad offers a beautiful showcase of these fathers who are fully involved in everyday tasks.
