Meeting with Carlos Henrique Feitosa, the founder of a unique percussion school that transforms amateurs into performing professionals.<\/p>\n<h2>A meteoric rise to the Montreal summits<\/h2>\n<p>The story of Tambor\u00e9al Samba Bloco is accelerating at an impressive pace. If the idea germinated in Carlos Henrique&rsquo;s mind in 2020, it was in 2024 that the project truly came to life with the start of collective rehearsals. After an encouraging semi-final last year, the group reached a major milestone by winning second place (the Silver Syli) at the prestigious Syli d\u2019Or of world music.<\/p>\n<p>This success validates the primary mission of this percussion school which propels studio students directly onto the professional scene.<\/p><div id=\"linit-3301577197\" class=\"linit-dans-le-contenu linit-entity-placement\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-8992136571741975\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:inline-block;width:250px;height:250px;\" \ndata-ad-client=\"ca-pub-8992136571741975\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"1055921646\"><\/ins> \n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cThe goal of this school is to take students on stage, to play at a professional level. If you like percussion, come with us! \u00bb, says Carlos Henrique enthusiastically.<\/p>\n<h2>A free rhythmic trip to Nuits d\u2019Afrique<\/h2>\n<p>This inclusive and festive formula is preparing to conquer the large outdoor stage of the Festival International Nuits d\u2019Afrique. The meeting is set for July 19 at 6 p.m., as part of the free programming of the event.<\/p>\n<p>For the occasion, the 18 musicians who make up the group promise a total and immersive show. The public can expect a daring rhythmic fusion mixing original compositions and great classics of world music. Tambor\u00e9al Samba Bloco breaks boundaries by combining traditional samba with various genres such as Maracatu, Ijex\u00e1, and even rock. Starting June 19, the group will perform in Saint-Laurent for the Copa Am\u00e9rica (the entire program is available on the Copa Montr\u00e9al Instagram account), notably to host Brazil&rsquo;s second match.<\/p>\n<p>The highlight of the summer, however, will take place in August, when the troupe will fly to Manitoba to participate in the Winnipeg Folklorama festival.
