This unique program, which covers her entire career, allows you to learn more about the work of one of the most relevant contemporary documentary filmmakers of her generation. To mark this announcement, the festival is also launching the pre-sale of its passports at the early bird rate for this new edition which will take place from November 19 to 29, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Bani Khoshnoudi: Territories of memoryFilmmaker, visual artist and archive worker, Bani Khoshnoudi has been making documentaries, fiction and experimental short films for around twenty years, in addition to creating installations and performances. Widely recognized on the international scene, his work has notably been presented at Visions du R\u00e9el, Cin\u00e9ma du R\u00e9el and the Viennale, as well as at the Center Pompidou in Paris, the Serralves Foundation in Porto and the Museo Universitario Arte Contempor\u00e1neo in Mexico. It explores several important themes of our time, such as exile, uprooting, memory, violence, solidarity and the fight for freedom. His documentaries explore the social and political events of the last two decades in Iran to paint a sensitive portrait of Iranian society, revealing the tensions between the aspirations of a people seeking change and the rigid framework of a regime that imposes constraints and repression. Also filmed in France and Mexico where she was exiled, Bani Khoshnoudi&rsquo;s cinema is part of a resolutely political approach, and evolves through a constant exploration of the narrative and aesthetic possibilities of cinema while maintaining a remarkable artistic coherence.<\/p>\n<p>The retrospective will focus on the feature-length documentaries A People in the Shadows, The Silent Majority Speaks and The Vanishing Point, as well as his feature-length fiction film Luci\u00e9rnagas. It will also include a program of short films bringing together the films CEM, Sap, El Chinero, un cerro fantasma and Elegy for the Forgotten, on an Endless War. Bani Khoshnoudi will also present the installation Scaffold, and what time has taught us, give a conference on his conception of cinema and take part in a discussion period after each screening.<\/p><div id=\"linit-3065256305\" class=\"linit-dans-le-contenu linit-entity-placement\" role=\"region\" aria-label=\"Publicit\u00e9s\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-8992136571741975\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><insclass=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:inline-block;width:728px;height:90px;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-8992136571741975\" data-ad-slot=\"6185130430\"><\/ins>\n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>Bani Khoshnoudi will also participate in the Regards Croissants project, led by the Cin\u00e9ma du Mus\u00e9e with the support of the Conseil des arts de Montr\u00e9al, in which she will dialogue with filmmaker Miryam Charles and her work.<\/p>\n<p>The retrospective Bani Khoshnoudi: Territories of Memory is made possible thanks to the support of the Consulate General of France in Quebec, which allows the filmmaker to be present in Montreal for the festival.<\/p>\n<p>Presale of RIDM passportsThe RIDM early bird passport, which allows you to attend all festival screenings, is now on presale at the special rate of $120, taxes included. For those who also wish to participate in RIDM Forum activities, the RIDM + Early Bird Forum passport is offered at $270, taxes included. It is also possible to obtain the RIDM + Forum + < passport<a href=\"https:\/\/form.zonefestival.com\/?k=ridm_g21\">form.zonefestival.com\/?k=ridm_g21<\/a>> Early Bird Face-to-Face at the preferential rate of $460, taxes included. These offers are available until October 27 inclusive. Thereafter, the price of the regular RIDM passport will be $150, and $125 taxes included for students as well as people aged 65 and over. For its part, the RIDM + Forum passport will be sold at the regular price of $300, while the RIDM + Forum + Face-to-Face passport will be offered at $490, taxes included.
