In the town of La Prairie, many houses are adorned with pumpkins and various decorations, ranging from ghosts to tombstones, including luminous monsters.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-91288 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/linitiative.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/20261031_193043-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"451\" srcset=\"https:\/\/linitiative.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/20261031_193043-1.jpg 800w, https:\/\/linitiative.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/20261031_193043-1-768x433.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As we wander the streets of Vieux-La Prairie around 8 p.m., we plunge into the full atmosphere of terror. Rue Saint-Jean, which leads towards the church, is particularly lively. The police forces secure the places where visitors who come to celebrate alone, with friends or family flock.
