This 7th edition is particularly marked by the choice of the artistic direction of the festival to (re)situate existing shows outside the conventional theatrical space by offering daring choreographic adaptations which will allow an unprecedented dialogue between the works and the local environment.<\/p>\n<p>This will be the case of UNARMOURED by Clara Furey, a stage show reimagined for the sand pit of Marsoui under the midday sun, after its resounding success in Canada and internationally since its premiere in 2024. The Couvent of Sainte-Anne-des-Monts will host the play Remember that time we met in the future? by Lara Kramer in a low-tech format for a small audience, offering a productive tension between the symbolism of this desecrated place and the gestures of indigenous resurgence addressed by the artist. Anne Th\u00e9riault, Virginie Reid, L\u00e9andre Bourgeois and Louis Bouvier will take over the Chapelle du Cap with the world premiere of the play Repos, the third opus of a trilogy on theremins, the first part of which was acclaimed at FURIES in 2023. Other new creations involving motorized vehicles will storm secret locations revealed only to ticket holders, including Habitacle by St\u00e9phanie Beaudoin and LACTANGLU by Laurence Lallier-Roussin and Audr\u00e9e Lewka. The pieces Twinning by Kalliane \u2018Yofi\u2019 Br\u00e9mault and Sovann Rochon-Prom Tep, bang bang by Manuel Roque and Le bouscueil: sound nap no. 1 by Guillaume Campion are part of the free selection of in situ shows which will meet audiences in familiar places in Marsoui. A leading partner of FURIES for 5 years now, the Maison de la culture de Sainte-Anne-des-Monts will host the opening evening of the festival for the very first time,<\/p>\n<p>a sign of renewed mutual trust. On this occasion, Alexia Vinci, Mithra \u2018Myth\u2019 Rabel and Athena Lucie Assemba will offer spaces for reflection and dialogue, as well as powerful performances. Alexandre Morin and Mathieu Leroux arrive in Sainte-Anne-des-Monts with the vigor of 9 up-and-coming professional performers with explosive energy, while \u00c9lodie Lombardo and Chi Long present a dance-theatre show touching on identity and immigration through a sensitive personal story. Alongside these shows followed by lively discussions, St\u00e9phanie Beaudoin will present the exhibition Backwash: in the troubled waters of our links in the gallery of the Maison de la culture, accessible free of charge. Ultimately, it is at the legendary Marsoui Recreation Center that three uncompromising shows will be held: M\u014dnad by Alexandra \u2018Spicey\u2019 Land\u00e9 &#038; Jai Nitai Lotus, Falla by Julia B. Laperri\u00e8re and Millepertuis by Sovann Rochon-Prom Tep, will carry audiences away with engaged and contagious performances, in the relaxed atmosphere of this heritage place.<\/p>\n<p>TOGETHER, ON THE DANCE FLOORBeing together also means seeking joy and abandonment in the pleasure of collective moments. This is what FURIES offers with its workshops and festive evenings! Catch the Qi Gong sessions on the beach with Marlene Sohier, the online dance class with Christine Lever and Lorraine Garneau, or the workshops for all levels to get moving and recharge your batteries. Continue your momentum with the SPURS Christmas Evening Transcendence Vezina &#038; Julien Pag\u00e9 offered free of charge at La Pointe Sec or the Party-sur-mer to find trance to the rhythms of DJ Sovann, at the Marsoui Recreation Center. The festival ends strong with its Closing Evening punctuated by artistic pop-ups by Brian Mendez, Aur\u00e9lie Ann Figaro and Laurence Lallier-Roussin, with music by DJ BlackGold.<\/p>\n<p>AREA OF DEVELOPMENTIn search of qualitative growth aligned with our values \u200b\u200bof development on a human scale, we are considering the best ways to refine our relationship with the different populations that revolve around FURIES, i.e. audiences, artists, local communities, tourists and the various actors in the professional artistic environment.
