Presented in front of a packed house, the media premiere of the musical Les Mis\u00e9rables aroused the enthusiasm of the public and the guests, who gave a long standing ovation to this major production bringing together more than 50 artists and musicians on stage.<\/p>\n<p>Carried by an exceptional cast led by Alex Gaumond, Dominique C\u00f4t\u00e9, Klara Martel-Laroche, Debbie Lynch-White, Roger La Rue, Stanley Kassa, Nathan Bois-McDonald, Am\u00e9lie Baland-Capdet and Kenza Nejmi, this new Quebec production of the masterpiece by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Sch\u00f6nberg moved the spectators from start to finish.<\/p>\n<p>Already acclaimed in Paris, where it won the Moli\u00e8re for best musical show in 2025, this contemporary rereading of Les Mis\u00e9rables today finds an equally powerful resonance with the Quebec public. Supported by an orchestra of 16 musicians conducted by David Terriault and carried by an exceptional cast, it highlights all the emotional power of this universal story of love, justice, sacrifice and hope. The enthusiasm of the public is also reflected at the ticket office. With more than 45,000 tickets sold, Les Mis\u00e9rables has established itself as one of the great successes of summer 2026. Performances continue at the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre St-Denis until July 25 before hitting the stage at the Grand Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Qu\u00e9bec on August 7. Nearly 40 years after its creation, LES MISERABLES continues to bring together and move all generations.
