This nomination was given to Bertrand Godin for his touching and remarkable animation of the show DEVENIR PILOTE.<\/p>\n<p>The 41st G\u00e9meaux Awards Gala has revealed the list of 2026 nominations, the Gala of which will be broadcast on September 13. However this year, with the quality of the applications received, the members of the jury had a difficult task to nominate the finalists in each of the categories.<\/p>\n<p>This appointment has great meaning for Bertrand Godin who was visibly very moved during the announcement this morning. \u201cIt was a surprise! I was so happy that our work was nominated in this category, regardless of the result, it\u2019s already very flattering. Thank you to the entire Trio Orange team, to SH Karting, to ICI Tou.tv, to ICI T\u00c9L\u00c9 for the trust and thank you to the inspiring young people who made this show a success across the board,\u201d exclaimed Godin. \u201cThank you to the members of the jury for this recognition. Vice-champion of France twice in Formula Ford for the Mygale team in 1993 and 1994, winner of the Canadian Grand Prix and the Cleveland Grand Prix in Formula Atlantic in 1997, it was in 2018 that Bertrand Godin made a notable return to the track of the Canadian Grand Prix and the Trois-Rivi\u00e8res Grand Prix in Formula 1600. August 11, 2018, after a race in a stunning victory that he led from the first lap, Bertrand climbed onto the top step of the podium at the Trois-Rivi\u00e8res Grand Prix for the first time in his career. It was in 2019 that he returned to the track in Formula 1600 for a full season and found himself in the top 3 of the championship. Bertrand has been at the helm of the analysis of Formula E races presented on TVA sports since 2021 and columnist for La Presse since 2022. On May 28, 2022 in Toronto, he was inducted into the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame (CMHF), a superb honor to crown an exceptional journey. A mark of esteem that he received with emotion and gratitude. In 2024 he returned to the track at the Trois-Rivi\u00e8res Grand Prix to once again prove that he is at the top of his art by climbing to the top step of the podium in Formula 1600. In addition, in the fall of 2024, he took up the challenge of a race in LMP3 prototype formula on the Mugello Circuit in Italy during the Ultimate Cup Series European, finishing in the top 5 in his first career endurance race at the age of 56. After 30 years of absence from karting, Bertrand Godin made a return to his roots in karting during the Canadian Open Championship, which was held at the end of August 2025. Passionate about nature, this time he agreed to continue the adventure in Mont-Tremblant, where he was at the start of the three races of the G70\/G90 series of the Fall Classic to finish on the 2nd step of the podium in his category. \u00b8<\/p>\n<p>In 2026, Bertrand Godin wrote a new page in the history of motorsport. This time, he became the very first Quebecer to drive a Formula 1 car at the Monaco Historic Grand Prix. Finishing in 4th place in category F Class 2, named Gilles Villeneuve. At 58, he fulfilled a childhood dream nurtured since the victories of his idol Gilles Villeneuve. In Monaco, in April 2026, the little boy who dreamed in front of his television in 1978 had the opportunity to experience a new exceptional moment.
