YOUNGBLOOD: HOCKEY IN THE BLOOD, directed by Hubert Davis, will be released in Quebec on March 6, in the original English version (Youngblood) and in a dubbed version in French. This Canadian production distributed by TVA Films stars Ashton James, Blair Underwood, Henri Picard, Shawn Doyle, Tamara Podemski, Donald MacLean Jr., Alexandra McDonald and Allan Hawco. This is the remake of the film of the same title released in 1986, starring Rob Lowe, Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves.

An arrogant rookie for the Hamilton Mustangs, Dean Youngblood’s (Ashton James) talent is threatened by his explosive temper. Dean begins to calm down under the mentorship of Denis Sutton (Henri Picard) and the charm of Jessie (Alexandra McDonald), the coach’s daughter. But when his rival, Carl Racki (Donald MacLean Jr), seriously injures Sutton, revenge is required. As the series finale approaches, Dean must choose: follow the harsh lessons of his past or prove himself worthy of Sutton’s legacy. To win the title, he will have to face Racki, and his own nature, on the ice.

Distributed in Quebec by TVA Films, YOUNGBLOOD: HOCKEY IN THE BLOOD is produced by Aircraft Pictures, in association with Dolphin Entertainment and Photon Films. The feature film is also released in English Canada and the United States on March 6, 2026.
