The 55th Festival du nouveau cinéma, which takes place from October 8 to 18, 2026 in Montreal, offers, as every year, a varied program that allows you to discover the best of cinema.
The program features 200 films from 30 countries. For ten days, the public can come and meet the filmmakers and enjoy the screening of feature films, short films as well as youth programming.
During the opening evening, Michel Pradier, Co-General Director and interim administrative director, did not fail to thank the festival team, the partners as well as the volunteers who work to make this event a real success.
Director Denis Côté was also present during the event to present his latest film “Violence du corps de l’autre” which was presented as a Quebec premiere before its upcoming theatrical release on October 23.
The 55th Festival du nouveau cinéma continues until Sunday October 18.
