Ciné-Quartier is happy to collaborate with the Alliance Française de Montréal in Ville-Marie to offer inspiring movie evenings in Old Montreal. The screenings will take place on Wednesdays, once a month, in the cultural space of the Alliance Française, located at 317 Place D’Youville in Montreal.

These new meetings, entitled the AFMTL Ciné-rencontres, will for the most part be accompanied by a discussion after the screenings. All directed by women, the first three films presented are Nino by Pauline Loquès (March 18), Amour apocalypse by Anne Émond (April 22) and Montréal, ma belle by Xiaodan He (May 27). A program that perfectly corresponds to one of the common missions of Ciné-Quartier and the Alliance Française, namely to promote French-speaking cultures in all their diversity.

With the desire to remain accessible to as many people as possible, these unifying screenings will be offered at a price adapted to different budgets. Film buffs will be able to attend the various screenings at a cost of $5 (screening rate), $10 (discovery rate), $15 (meeting rate) or $25 (solidarity rate).
