A more festive edition than ever is expected at the Colline festival, taking place in Lac-Mégantic!
From August 6 to 8, music takes over the city from morning until the middle of the night. This year, we can expect more free activities during the day, large-scale shows in the evening, more meetings in unusual places, enriched nature experiences: the festival offers more, but always in the spirit of good living that characterizes it, in the heart of the only Cittaslow certified town in Quebec.
“This year, for our sixth edition, we are strengthening the offers that appealed to festival-goers last year and we are also strengthening the culture and nature positioning which is a great strength. All this in this unique family spirit, which people appreciate,” says Hubert Lavallée-Bellefleur, general and artistic director of the festival.
Among the new features and additions in 2026, we note: • The Village Colline – reserved for free activities – relocated to the Veterans Park, including a new market for local artisans and producers; • A Youth Zone of original Quebec design with theater, library, bubble tents, karaoke; • The Quart de nuit series: three performances on the factory site, at the end of the evening; • The Hors champ series: two concerts in the prairie, on the hill of the Luminous Cross, where the festival began in 2021; • The Midnight Mass series: two DJ sets at the Chapelle du rang 1 (Thursday and Friday) • A classic Yoga on Saturday morning followed by a musical performance to prolong the pleasure (and relaxation!); • An expanded camping offer with the possibility of bringing your own equipment or taking advantage of an “all-inclusive” offer
As always, Colline places great emphasis on emerging talents while also presenting big names on the music scene. Among the guests: Pierre Lapointe, Lou-Adriane Cassidy, Paul Piché, Klô Pelgag, Kaïn, Alphonse Bisaillon, Luan Larobina, Louis-Julien Durso, Billie du Page, Louis-Jean Cormier, Elliot Maginot and the Boulay Sisters, Ariane Roy, Ivan Boivin-Flamand, Qualité Motel, the Moonshine collective accompanied by Pierre Kwenders.
In total, 25 shows are presented in three days, always giving yourself time to enjoy them without running from one stage to another. “We keep in mind the idea that people can experience the festival without having to make heartbreaking choices,” says Hubert Lavallée-Bellefleur. Our programming reflects this approach which aligns with the positioning of a Cittaslow city, a city of well-being which focuses on the time we give to ourselves, that we give to others, the importance we give to human relationships, the connection with nature, etc. Hill is exactly that! »
