Arthur de Pins is a French comic book author who published the successful series by Éditions Dupuis Zombillenium, before It was republished in novel form by Hachette, then republished in Complete format.
Adapted into an animated feature film in 2017, this work, which was aimed at a young audience, explored numerous subjects such as friendship and self-esteem in a fantastic universe, where the world of the living intertwined with that of the dead.
In 2025, the French author returns with a new series called Knight Club[1]. The plot takes place in the 12th century. During the summer of 1181, Séraphine traveled on the back of a camel through the kingdom of Jerusalem, looking for knights to help her defend her native village against the Crusaders. On her way, she recruits Yusef, a Turk who is indebted to her for having saved her from certain death.
An elite blacksmith, Séraphine offers to offer armor as a reward to those who agree to help her save the inhabitants of Beitunia.
Seven mercenaries in the Middle East

Séraphine recruits seven mercenaries as formidable as bloodhounds. Despite their differences, Galcerand De Sanzay, Lennox the Scotsman, Elzébeth the nun, Yusef the Sunni, Tayib the hashashin, Sirgrid the Norse and Sambotaï the Tartar will have to learn to team up together.
We will not say more about this first volume of Knight Club which promises an adventure with its share of violence, humor and resilience.
More than fiction, this new comic book is also a nice nod to Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai. Arthur de Pins multiplies the twists and turns with a sustained pace throughout this story which is published by Éditions Dupuis.
