Montreal Inuk beatmaker Atamone returns with a new album, Prologue, available on May 22, 2026 on all digital platforms, under the Nikamo Productions (Samian) label.
Atamone, whose real name is Tam Kadjulik, is an Inuk producer, multi-instrumentalist and multimedia artist born in Montreal. His diverse interests have led him to study cinema and 3D animation, sound design and interactive media. His research naturally informs his musical practice, as do his experiences within different communities and cultures: the hip-hop scene, street art and dance.
Since 2011, Atamone has been creating light, graceful beats that incorporate elements of jazz, soul, hip-hop and electronic music. He explores the creative possibilities of analog and digital technologies, taking them from different angles and degrees. Passionate about manga, he found his name in reference to Japanese culture.
By using sampler, drum machine and sequencer with various instruments, he gives his pieces a kind of timeless quality, a cinematic air. Its relaxed beats and airy, sunny melodies are the remedy you need.
Prologue is the follow-up to the last album, Epilogue, in 2025. It is the opening of a new instrumental chapter for Atamone after a move and a change of environment. This aromatic and floral album reflects time, seasons and simplicity. A hybrid exploration of hidden paths and vibrant sunny passages. This new signing on Nikamo highlights the label’s 5th anniversary this year.
