Authors Aucha and Isabelle Lemaux-Piedfert take us back in time to 1922 to take us through Amy’s adventures in search of the ancient libraries of Pergamon.
The third volume in the Lost Worlds series[1], allows us to find Amy, a young archeology enthusiast at the beginning of the 20th century. Accompanied by her friend Elliott and their respective fathers, she is preparing to cross all of Europe aboard the Orient Express towards Turkey.
Their goal? Rescue Emir, a young archaeologist and his family who have mysteriously disappeared. As soon as they arrive in Constantinople, the young people are determined to shed light on this disappearance, despite a tense political context linked to the Turkish revolution, particularly conducive to the actions of antiquities traffickers.
They want to find the Libraries of Pergamon which are believed to conceal very precious parchments kept in boxes for centuries. Taking advantage of the confusion caused by the fall of the Ottoman Empire, traffickers embarked on clandestine excavations.
A true female Indiana Jones, Amy does not hesitate to brave all dangers and occasionally appropriate the famous line from Sherlock Holmes, “Elementary, my dear Watson”, to solve all the mysteries.
