The young artists Maksen Blidi, Ethan Sacha You and Rémi Lalonger will fly to France in October, after their victory in the 8th edition of the national Youth Slam competition, which took place on April 25, 2026 at the Camp Musical in Saint-Alexandre-de-Kamouraska.
The camp auditorium was filled with spectators who came to listen to nearly thirty young finalists from the 4 corners of Quebec (Outaouais, Estrie, Capitale-Nationale and Bas-Saint-Laurent). This final was presented in front of a multitude of distinguished guests: Mathieu Rivest (MP Côte-du-Sud), Denis Racine (vice-president of the Réseau Québec-France Francophonie), Josée Beaudoin (president of the Association Québécoise des Professors de Français), Gabrielle Thériault (ACLAM representative), Marco Voyer-Bélanger (slammaster of Rivière-du-Loup) and even the winner of the last National Grand Slam, Julie Carmel (godmother of the event).
Maksen, Ethan and Rémi will represent Quebec in France thanks to the welcome of the Fédération France-Québec Francophonie, through performances and workshops with young French people in Brittany and Périgord. The trio will be accompanied by their coach Yanis Benyou, as well as the organizers of the Youth Slam, Mael Pelletier and Lucia Savard.
