Noé Lira continues its deployment and unveils a first powerful extract, available today on all platforms. With this new release, the Quebec-Mexican artist asserts a strong signature: rhythmic and contrasting cinematic alternative pop.

Five years after Latiendo la Tierra (2021), she begins a new, more assertive artistic cycle, where the intimate becomes a driving force of movement. Co-directed with Jean Massicotte (Patrick Watson, Lhasa de Sela, Pierre Lapointe, Jean Leloup), the piece evolves in an immersive and textured atmosphere. Between visceral fear and desire for freedom, compás captures this moment of change where, despite dizziness, we decide to move forward, with an open heart, guided by intuition rather than reason.

Radio-Canada Revelation 2022-2023, Noé Lira signs a work that transcends linguistic borders, where French, Spanish and English coexist naturally. Following in the footsteps of artists like Lido Pimienta, Ibeyi and Silvana Estrada, she is distinguished by a physical and inhabited stage approach, helping to redefine contemporary pop anchored in emotion and movement.

ABOUT compásIn a world that is wavering, compás invites us to return to intuition and move forward despite fear. Carried by the image of the wind as a supporting force, the piece evokes what passes through us and sets us in motion. compás is anchored in this momentum: a call to follow one’s own rhythm, to embrace uncertainty with courage. Supported by an organic beat and a mix of French, Spanish and English, the song celebrates freedom, letting go and vitality.

ABOUT THE CLIP Filmed in the Magdalen Islands, the clip co-directed by Noé Lira and Tiphaine Roustang deploys an atmosphere that is both intimate and wild. Noé Lira evolves in dialogue with the elements of nature embodying a presence that is both fragile and determined. The movements of the body and the camera come alive to the rhythm of the wind and the tides.
