Starting Saturday, June 20, FREQUENCE will award $10,000 in scholarships to young talents who have stood out throughout the year in more than 10 categories. In addition, they will have access to internships and even mentoring. Young finalists will also be congratulated for standing out in the WAVES OF THE FUTURE category presented by DELOITTE.
For its third edition, which will be held at Bain Mathieu, the FREQUENCE team made up of Nick Désilus, Ashley Kéwé, Qauffee, Noonski and founder Magalie Boutin, has focused on a program rich in music and creativity that will celebrate diversity.
FREQUENCE’s mission is to highlight the talents of young people from black communities in Quebec. The NPO helps to showcase outstanding talents in all regions of the province. On June 20, 2026, 10 young people aged 12 to 21 will experience a vibrant and positive moment in the company of their loved ones, friends and teachers.
This annual Happening is more than necessary. The news of recent days once again confirms that young people and people of color experience injustice on a daily basis. FREQUENCE creates bridges, brings people together and celebrates.
The Jury made up of public figures and experts in their field received around a hundred nominations this year. He made sure to highlight young talents, while analyzing the profiles presented since November 2025. Touching testimonies, performances and resilience made up the profiles presented by parents, teachers, speakers and others. The company believes in them and FREQUENCE collected these applications with pride and the emotion was there.
This year’s jury was made up of 70 members and chaired by Tamara Angeline Medford-Williams, CKUT 90.3FM Radio Host & Director of Black Community Initiatives.
This year, Citron Rose, Alex Willy B. Rose, Roman D. Viau and Lautotherey, will be at the helm of the entertainment and welcome everyone who wishes to come and celebrate these young talents from Saturday June 20, 2026 at 6 p.m. at Bain Mathieu in Montreal.
The guestsIn addition to musical performances by Kelzk and dance performances by Iko Liam Mashali and the group One Nation, Beno and Dice will be sure to lift the crowd with their energy. Miss Geri will bring her fashionista look to the guests who will participate in the SAPÉ competition! Fimo Mitchell and Svens Télémaque will make us think again by listening to young people express themselves during La Conversation Noire. Biko and Zoé Ntumba will also bring their dose of humor to the evening. The artist Kezna Dalz will bring her touch of color with a work offered for auction. See you Saturday!
