Filmoption International and All Around Studios are proud to present Romin, the first feature film directed by Anthony Dionne and Jassen Charron. This youth adventure story filmed in the Bahamas had its sold-out world premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival, where it won the Silver Audience Award for best Quebec feature film.
The film, which stars Anthony Dionne, Jassen Charron, Rosalie Pépin, James-Edward Métayer, Emmanuel Auger, Sid Donarski, Ève Salvail, Sonia Vachon, Paul Doucet, Derek Johns, Hubert Gélinas, Simon Pigeon, Ève Duranceau, Liliane Skelly, Carmen Sylvestre and Sylvain Larocque, will be released on August 28. To mark the theatrical release, a series of previews will be held in Quebec, Trois-Rivières, Sherbrooke and Saint-Eustache.
The public will be able to discover this independent production in the company of the film team on August 24 at the Cinéma Le Clap Ste-Foy (Québec), on August 25 at the Cinéma Le Tapis Rouge (Trois-Rivières), on August 26 at the Maison du Cinéma (Sherbrooke) and on August 27 at the Cinéma Saint-Eustache (Saint-Eustache). Each session will be followed by a question-and-answer period in the presence of the directors and members of the cast.
SynopsisHaunted by the sudden death of his father, Romin, a teenager in search of his bearings, sees his life turned upside down when he discovers a mysterious artifact hidden in the forest. Struck by an ancient curse that poisons his heart, leaving him with only days to live, he has no choice but to embark on a race against time to return the relic to its original location in the Bahamas.
Supported by his brilliant sister Maya, his rebellious friend Jeff and the orphan Booker, he will have to outrun Lincoln, a ruthless fanatic ready to destroy everything in his path to use the powers of the artifact.
