Synopsis: In a village in the Argentinian countryside, the inhabitants lead a routine life surrounded by nature. When one evening, the old farmer Omar sees a light appear, he decides to go in search of answers with his grandson Noah. In an empty holiday villa, the two domestic workers, Rosana and Lily, make a strange discovery, where magic and reality coexist.

Presented as a world premiere at Visions du Réel last April in the Burning Lights competition, The World Upside Down is the first co-director of Agostina Di Luciano and Leon Schwitter. Shot in Argentina, at Villa Giardino in the Cordoba region, the feature film combines fiction and documentary. The filmmakers paint the portrait of a community where the boundaries between reality and spirituality are gradually disappearing. Myths and popular beliefs are gradually intruding to cope with uncertain daily lives, in a society where inequalities are increasingly growing.
