Sphère Films is pleased to unveil the trailer for the film THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA directed by Alexandre Castagnetti, which will be released in Quebec on October 30. A modern adaptation of the classic French literature by Gaston Leroux, co-written by Alexandre Castagnetti and Camille Fontaine, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA stars Deva Cassel in the title role, for her first role in French, alongside Julien de Saint Jean (The Count of Monte-Cristo, Merteuil) and Romain Duris as well as dancers Dorothée Gilbert and Guillaume Diop, from the National Opera ballet from Paris.

In today’s Paris, Anastasia, a young dancer, joins the prestigious Opéra Garnier. While she rehearses the Orpheus, a cursed opera said to have been composed by the Phantom of the Opera, she falls in love with a mysterious pianist. As the first performance approaches, between unexplained accidents and disturbing revelations, Anastasia finds herself immersed in an impossible love story, on the border of reality and fantasy.

Spectacular French production among the most anticipated this fall and first French screen adaptation of the famous novel by Gaston Leroux, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA here abandons the world of singing for that of dance and is set in the current era. The film takes the form of an initiatory story, a succession of enigmatic and romantic paintings, whose photo direction was provided by Quebecer Nicolas Bolduc (The Count of Monte Cristo, The Three Musketeers, The Hummingbird Project)

Distributed in Canada by Sphère Films, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA will be released across Quebec on October 30, 2026.
