The CINEMANIA Film Festival, whose 32nd edition will take place in Montreal from November 4 to 15, is pleased to announce that Quebec actor Théodore Pellerin will receive the 2026 CINEMANIA d’Honneur.
Created in 2024 on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of CINEMANIA, the CINEMANIA of honor recognizes each year a personality of Quebec cinema who contributes in an exceptional way to the influence of Quebec culture outside our borders. It highlights a career marked by bold artistic choices, great creative freedom and a deep commitment to French-speaking cinema. After Anne Dorval and Monia Chokri, respectively honored in 2024 and 2025, Théodore Pellerin becomes the third personality to receive this distinction.

After following him last year in the wanderings of the character he played in Nino, winner of the CANAL+ Distribution Prize for Best Film in the Visages de la Francophonie international competition, it seemed obvious to us to find him again and celebrate him this year,” underlines Guilhem Caillard, general and artistic director of CINEMANIA.
A remarkable year for Théodore PellerinTo highlight the remarkable year that actor Théodore Pellerin is going through, notably awarded the César for Most Promising Actor for NINO by Pauline Loquès earlier this year, CINEMANIA will present him with the CINEMANIA D’HONNEUR 2026 on the occasion of the Benefit Gala of the 32nd edition, on Wednesday, November 11 at the Auberge Saint Gabriel in Montreal, in the presence of personalities from the artistic community, politics, as well as partners and donors of the Festival.
At only 29 years old, Théodore Pellerin already has a filmography of remarkable diversity, in French and in English. In French, after having notably distinguished himself in Chien de Garde (2018) or Solo (2023) by Sophie Dupuis, he played Jacques de Bascher in the series Becoming Karl Lagerfeld, directed by Jérôme Salle and Audrey Estrougo (2024), before playing the main role of Nino by Pauline Loquès (2025) for which he was, in particular, awarded the Louis Roederer Revelation Prize at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. as well as the César for best male revelation in February 2026. Théodore Pellerin, who will soon be seen alongside Marion Cotillard in the film Milo by Nicole Garcia, is also preparing to reunite with Quebec filmmaker Philippe Lesage, with whom he filmed Les Démons (2015) and Genèse (2018), for the filming of the film I just want a great love story.
A new visual identity which closes a cycleCINEMANIA is also unveiling its new visual identity today, directly linked to the artistic choices of its 32nd edition. This new poster, which concludes a trilogy devoted to light, begun in 2024 with a visual inspired by Close by Lukas Dhont and continued in 2025 around Where the Souls Go by Brigitte Poupart, highlights the tenth anniversary of Juste la fin du monde, by Xavier Dolan, recipient of the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016. The feature film brought together, among others, the late Gaspard Ulliel and Nathalie Baye as well as Vincent Cassel, Marion Cotillard and Léa Seydoux. The Festival has, in fact, chosen an image taken from a scene from the film Just the End of the World, in which Théodore Pellerin made one of his first appearances in the cinema. Furthermore, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Xavier Dolan’s Just the End of the World, CINEMANIA would like to pay tribute to a work which remains, ten years after its Grand Prix at Cannes, one of the most striking titles in the Quebec filmmaker’s filmography.
