The MOSAÏQUE Festival is launching the foundations of its 6th edition by announcing the return of its opening night “Laval ou rien!” which will notably welcome the dense and luminous universe of the artist Irdens Exantus. The renewed participation of Laval co-spokespersons and artists Shah and Naïma Frank adds to the spotlight on the local scene, before and during the event which will be held from August 13 to 15 in Centropolis. The complete program and the new features of the 6th edition will be revealed online on June 9.
MAKING LAVALLOIS ARTISTS SHINEThe kick-off will be given on Thursday, August 13 with the return of the successful evening “Laval or nothing!” », a true declaration of love to local talent. This launch evening will celebrate the artistic identity of the region in all its richness and plurality. An evening that promises to be festive and unifying, just like the festival.
IRDENS EXANTUS – FREE SHOW As part of this 100% local evening, the festival is proud to announce the premiere of the show by the Laval artist of Haitian origin, Irdens Exantus. Drawing on his gospel background and his soul, rap, pop and R&B influences, Irdens offers a work where the quality of the texts blends perfectly with the accuracy of the interpretations. This show is part of a new collaboration with Les Francouvertes and allows one of the artists from the showcase competition cohort to secure a place in the programming of the 6th edition of MOSAÏQUE. The artist was awarded the prize during the semi-finals and is still in the running as a finalist in the competition.
RENEWED INVOLVEMENT OF CO-SPOKESHOPS SHAH AND NAÏMA FRANKThe MOSAÏQUE Festival is delighted to welcome back Shah and Naïma Frank, who are resuming their role as co-spokespeople this year. Essential figures on the Laval R&B scene, they embody with authenticity and sensitivity the spirit of the festival, which celebrates the diversity of artistic backgrounds and expressions. In addition to resuming their role as spokespersons, they will also be on stage to host the evenings which already promise to be full of emotions and energy. “We are really excited to resume our role as co-spokespersons for MOSAÏQUE.
