The Montreal International Documentary Meetings (RIDM) and the RIDM Forum are proud to unveil the visual identity of their 29th edition, which will be held from November 19 to 29, 2026. For a fifth consecutive year, the festival called on graphic designer Juliette Moal to design its visual universe.
Since 2022, geometric shapes with retro accents have been at the heart of the RIDM identity. This year, they take on relief and unfold in a new dimension, evoking what the documentary does: each work captures reality and puts it into shape, by choosing an angle, a distance, a frame to look at and tell the world.
For once again, the RIDM Forum has entrusted the variation of the visual identity to graphic designer Kaïla Curcio-Tremblay. Conceived as a representation of the Forum as a space for meeting and reflection, the poster highlights its role as a place that supports, brings together and advances documentary creation. The 22nd edition of the RIDM Forum, presented by the Canada Media Fund (CMF), will be held from November 20 to 25, 2026.
Unveiling of the programTo give a taste of the 29th edition, the first five titles will be revealed on Thursday, August 20. The complete program of the RIDM and the RIDM Forum will be revealed during a 5 à 7 at the Cinémathèque québécoise on Wednesday, October 28 and announced online the same day.
HeadquartersFaithful to tradition, the Cinémathèque québécoise will host the festival headquarters, offering a meeting place for festival-goers, with screenings, varied activities and festive evenings.
