AZ Films is pleased to announce the release of the feature film Dossier 137 directed by Dominik Moll on March 20 in Quebec. The film received eight César nominations this year and stars Léa Drucker, winner of the César for best actress for her role as inspector Stéphanie Bertrand. She is surrounded by a group of experienced actors.

File 137 is apparently yet another case for Stéphanie, an investigator at the IGPN, the police department. A tense demonstration, a young man injured by an LBD shot, circumstances to be clarified to establish responsibility. But an unexpected element will disturb Stéphanie, for whom file 137 becomes something other than a simple number.

“Since Blow up at least, we have known that obsessively scrutinizing images in the hope of discovering the truth is both dizzying and very cinematic. » Dominik Moll « Dominik writes and directs his films in an incredibly meticulous way. I like that a lot. He pays extreme attention to everything. To the characters, to the settings, to the space, the light, to the cutting, to the sound. And at the same time, he has bold biases. » Léa DruckerAfter having considered becoming a wildlife filmmaker for a while, Dominik Moll discovered the films of Alfred Hitchcock and decided to turn to fiction. He studied cinema at the City College of New York and at IDHEC where he met his accomplice Gilles Marchand. Together they wrote the screenplays for most of their respective films. In the 90s, Moll worked as an editor and assistant director (notably with Laurent Cantet and Marcel Ophuls) and directed his first feature film, Intimité (1994). His second film, Harry, a friend who wishes you well, was presented in competition at Cannes in 2000 and enjoyed great critical and public success, being awarded 4 Césars. In his following films, Moll continued to explore genre films by increasingly integrating societal themes. In 2023, La Nuit du 12 won 7 Césars after being praised by the press and the public. Dossier 137 was selected in competition at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
