Montreal, Thursday May 7, 2026 – Film Noir au Canal, the cult crime film festival on the banks of the Lachine Canal, is pleased to unveil the poster and dates for its 10th edition. Every Sunday, from July 12 to August 16, 2026, fans of suspense and open-air cinema are invited to free screenings of great noir films, classic or contemporary, at Square Saint-Patrick in the Sud-Ouest arrondissement.

At the heart of an environment marked by silos and industrial buildings, the public is invited to live a unique cinematographic experience, conducive to the discovery or rediscovery of significant works of the genre. Bringing together more than 3,000 festival-goers each summer, these screenings begin at nightfall and are preceded by presentations by specialists who love film noir.

A mystery program

From classic works to lesser-known ones, including neo-noirs, the programming highlights a diversity of detective films. In order to preserve the element of surprise, the titles are revealed every week during the summer. The public is invited to follow Film Noir au Canal on social media to stay up to date with the news: FacebookInstagramBlue Sky

Film Noir au Canal is presented thanks to the financial support of W. Maxwell Agendas, the Arrondissement du Sud-Ouest, the Caisse Desjardins du Sud-Ouest de Montréal and the Caisse Desjardins de Montréal.
