Welcome to the world of Dina and the milliworld[1]. Young Dina, who lives alone with her mother, is preparing to spend her vacation in the village of Castelfiore, in Italy. This is where Nonna, her grandmother, lives. However, there reigns in this village a heavy atmosphere and unsaid things. And for good reason: Dina’s father and grandfather have disappeared, as have a large part of the inhabitants.
-Dina then asks her grandmother to tell her the truth: “I’m not a kid anymore! And then, I have the right to know the story of Nonno… (my grandfather).”
-His grandmother replies: “You are absolutely right… Well, imagine that your grandfather is not the only one to have mysteriously disappeared! « .
The next morning, Dina’s destiny changes: she is reduced to a size of 5 millimeters high! She barely manages to escape the claws of her cat thanks to her grandfather, who is in the same condition as her. Little Dina soon discovers that all of the village’s missing people have in fact been reduced to a microscopic state.
This new life turns out to be very dangerous in the face of spiders and other insects that lurk in Nonna’s house. However, Dina is not ready to give in or accept her fate. Determined, she is ready to fight to find a solution and return to her normal size. Although this task is noble, it risks being much more complicated than it seems.
Dina and the Mini-Monde is a children’s comic strip written by Stéphane Lapuss’. The Belgian comic strip author has already published Like animals, Space Wars, Minions, Great jokes, Great jokes. Antonello Dalena is responsible for drawing the fantastic universe of Dina. The Italian designer has already published Growing Up with the Smurfs, Lila and the Dirty Kids Factory, Hercules, Intergalactic Agent, Red, Ernest & Rebecca.
An inspired comic
When reading this new comic strip, we can’t help but think of the animated series Les Minipouss broadcast on French channels since 1984. Originally, this work featured a family of tiny creatures living in secret in human homes, trying to survive against Professor Chassard who wanted to reveal their existence.
