The second part of the Midnight Island series[1] has not finished revealing all its secrets. On this lost island, a group of young children try to survive. Elena, Maya Hector and Elijah woke up with amnesia and no idea how they ended up on the island.
A mysterious automaton urges them to follow its instructions, otherwise they risk suffering terrible consequences. So we find Elena and Elijah looking for Maya when they are attacked by a horde of monkeys. Fortunately, they are rescued by their friend Maya and Charles, a young independent boy who has lived on the island for over four years.
The young people’s concerns are only growing and doubt divides the group: should we follow the instructions of the machine blindly? Should we find a way to escape the island or should we accept our fate and ignore the automaton?
In view of all these questions, the group of young people tries to reach “the monkey woman”, an adult who lives on the island. They hope to find answers from her.
Published by Éditions Dupuis, the script of the comic strip is signed by Lylian, author of A thousand white women, Midnight Island, Magic, The giants, La Moïra, Ewilan’s Quest, The worlds of Ewilan. Graphically, it is the designer Nicolas Grebil who creates the colorful universe of the characters in this series which will appeal to young readers.
