On October 17, 2026, the Théâtre Le National in Montreal vibrated to the rhythm of the Aurès during a memorable concert by Houria Aïchi, organized to celebrate her 40 years of career.
This event marked the artist’s great return to the Quebec metropolis after 14 years of absence. More than a simple musical performance, this unique evening offered the public a true cultural and intergenerational transmission through the powerful texts and the presence of this great lady of Algerian music.
The singer performed several of her titles and traditional Algerian repertoire such as the pieces La primevère du spring, Hadda and Ya salah.
Finally, we will point out that the first part of the show was hosted by the singer Hakim Kaci who offered an original interpretation of the song El Candor Pasa in Kabyle version.
Hakim Kaci thanked his audience, his musicians (Mohand Larbi Allili, Achour Zanoutene, Ghani Hamani, Amir Hamamda) and Gosbat Music for his big return to the Montreal scene alongside Houria Aïchi. Touched by the support of his loved ones and the welcome of spectators despite difficult preparation, he announces on his page Facebook is actively working on the launch of its new album.
