After selling out at the Cabaret Lion d’Or in August 2025, Menstruosities will return for a performance on July 2, followed by seven performances in August. Carried by the Collective Funny for a Girl, made up of Aurélie Fortin, Juliette Rolland-Apergis and Marianne Verville, this show mixing theater, humor and music tackles head-on the taboo of menstruation, choosing laughter as a driving force for reflection.
In Menstruosity, the different phases of the menstrual cycle are illustrated by a succession of tables combining parody of teenage films from the 2000s, musical comedy, television quiz and wrestling match.
Camille Massicotte’s direction is distinguished by its precision and sensitivity. The different worlds follow one another fluidly, carried by generous and energetic performers. This variety of paintings contributes to a lively and unifying proposition.
In 90 minutes, Menstruosities directly addresses the realities linked to the menstrual cycle, from cramps to bloating, from the lethargy of the luteal phase to the rise in libido in the ovulatory phase. The artistic proposal is supported by the designs of Mouchoir Delacrotte (costumes and accessories), Charles Laurier and Nat Descôteaux (lighting), as well as Charles Laurier and Sébastien Lévesque (sound design).

Aurélie FortinGraduated from the National Theater School in 2020, Aurélie Fortin is an author and performer. She co-wrote the play for teenagers VACARMES, presented at the Théâtre Denise-Pelletier in 2023. She co-founded the Collective Drôle pour une fille with Juliette Rolland-Apergis and Marianne Verville. She works with companies such as Le Carrousel, Théâtre Parminou and Anémone 47. In spring 2026, she can be seen at Périscope in the play Bacchanale directed by Frédéric Dubois.
Juliette Rolland-ApergisGraduated from the National School of Song in 2025, Juliette Rolland-Apergis is a multidisciplinary artist. She previously completed a dissertation in literature with a research-creation profile, under the direction of the writer Alain Farah. In 2024, she co-founded the Funny Collective for a Girl. She also received a grant from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ) for the writing of a novel.
Marianne VervilleIt was in the feature film Le Journal d’Aurélie Laflamme that Marianne Verville became known to the general public in 2009. They then went on to several roles on television, notably in Mauvais Karma and Tactik, as well as in series such as District 31, STAT and Alertes. Their role in Comme dans l’espace earned them a nomination for the Prix Gémeaux in 2022. In 2023, they participated in Big Brother Celebrities, then co-founded the Collective Funny for a Girl in 2024.
